Smartphone Screen Protectors Under BIS Standards From April

Smartphone screen protectors will be brought under BIS certification from April 2027. This significant move aims to curb the influx of substandard imported products and combat grey-market trade within the Indian market. The screen protector industry is valued at approximately Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000 crore, with Chinese products currently holding a dominant position in supplies. This regulation is expected to improve product quality and consumer protection.

अप्रैल से BIS मानकों के तहत स्मार्टफोन स्क्रीन प्रोटेक्टर

अप्रैल 2027 से स्मार्टफोन स्क्रीन प्रोटेक्टर्स पर भी BIS सर्टिफिकेशन लागू होगा। इससे घटिया क्वालिटी के इंपोर्टेड सामानों पर लगाम लगेगी और देश में नकली उत्पादों का धंधा रुकेगा। यह स्क्रीन प्रोटेक्टर इंडस्ट्री करीब 12,000 से 15,000 करोड़ रुपये की है, जिसमें चीन का दबदबा है। इस नियम से प्रोडक्ट की क्वालिटी सुधरेगी और ग्राहकों को बेहतर सुरक्षा मिलेगी।
