IIT Delhi Ends CGPA Requirement for B.Tech

IIT Delhi has eliminated the minimum CGPA requirement for B.Tech degrees starting from the 2024-25 academic session. This move aims to reduce academic pressure and mental stress among students. Other reforms include reduced credit load in the first semester, smaller class sizes, fewer weekend exams, and the introduction of life-skill courses. The institute is also enhancing mental health support with 24/7 counseling and psychiatric services from AIIMS and VIMHANS, covering treatment costs.

आईआईटी दिल्ली ने 2024-25 सत्र से बी.टेक डिग्री के लिए न्यूनतम सीजीपीए की अनिवार्यता खत्म कर दी है। इसका मकसद छात्रों पर से पढ़ाई का दबाव और मानसिक तनाव कम करना है। इसके अलावा, पहले सेमेस्टर में क्रेडिट कम किए गए हैं, क्लास का आकार छोटा होगा, वीकेंड परीक्षाएँ कम होंगी और लाइफ-स्किल्स कोर्स शुरू किए जाएंगे। संस्थान AIIMS और VIMHANS की मदद से 24/7 काउंसलिंग और मनोरोग सेवाएँ भी दे रहा है, जिसका खर्च संस्थान उठाएगा।
