Mumbai RTO Cracks Down on Luxury Car Owners Evading Taxes via Diu-Daman Registrations

RTO has launched an intensive crackdown on affluent vehicle owners who are evading steep road taxes by registering their luxury cars in Diu and Daman. The drive, which began, has already identified 45 cases, impounded two high-end vehicles, and put four major auto dealerships under scrutiny. This fraudulent practice, often recommended by dealership agents, allows owners to slash tax liabilities by nearly half or two-thirds.

आरटीओ ने लग्जरी कार मालिकों के खिलाफ एक सघन अभियान शुरू किया है जो दीव और दमन में अपनी लग्जरी कारें पंजीकृत कराकर भारी रोड टैक्स से बच रहे हैं। यह अभियान, जो शुरू हुआ है, इसमें पहले ही 45 मामले सामने आए हैं, दो हाई-एंड वाहन जब्त किए गए हैं, और चार प्रमुख ऑटो डीलरशिप की जांच की जा रही है। यह धोखाधड़ी वाली प्रथा, जिसे अक्सर डीलरशिप एजेंटों द्वारा सुझाया जाता है, मालिकों को टैक्स देनदारियों को लगभग आधा या दो-तिहाई तक कम करने की अनुमति देती है।
