Congress legislators staged a significant protest outside the Punjab Assembly, burning an effigy of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and raising slogans against the state government. The protest was fueled by allegations concerning the murder of anti-drug activist Parwinder Singh Jhota in Mansa, the widespread drug issue in Punjab, deteriorating law and order, and AAP leaders occupying government housing. Congress leaders stated they would raise these issues in the assembly, demanding accountability from the Chief Minister on matters including farmers' prices, pending DA for employees, and the state's economic condition.
