Bengaluru passengers have welcomed the CCPA's directive against pre-ride tipping prompts, viewing it as a move to curb coercive pricing. Drivers, however, express concern over potential impacts on their earnings, citing high aggregator commissions and rising costs. Consumer Affairs Secretary Nidhi Khare stated the practice is misleading. The CCPA also fined Rapido ₹10 lakh and is reviewing other platforms like Uber and Ola.
