The Hindu · india
The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) has recommended action against Pallassana village office employees for alleged irregularities involving a private quarry. An inspection on September 5 revealed suspicions that quarry owners, with village officials' support, used forged documents to acquire government and private land. Land records were manipulated, and approximately 50 acres were acquired bypassing the Land Reforms Act, with over eight acres allegedly obtained through forged deeds.
