West Bengal CM Reviews Safety Preparations For Upcoming Festivals

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has directed district magistrates, police commissioners, and SPs to enhance safety measures for upcoming festivals. The review meeting focused on inspecting vulnerable locations and implementing preventive actions against potential law-and-order issues during Kali Puja, Chhath, Jagaddhatri Puja, and Kartik Puja. Special attention was given to potentially dangerous Chhath ghats, particularly in West Burdwan, where illegal sand extraction has created unsafe conditions.
