The Tiruvallur district administration has intensified surveillance on paddy movement following complaints that traders are illegally selling procured paddy at direct procurement centres. Farmers allege that traders, including those from neighbouring states, are using farmers' documentation to sell paddy. District Collector S. Kavitha stated that inspections are underway at border checkposts, and officials are verifying registrations and procurement quantities. Awareness campaigns have been launched to deter farmers from pledging crops with traders, with a two-year procurement ban threatened for violations.

तिरुवल्लूर जिला प्रशासन ने धान की आवाजाही पर निगरानी तेज कर दी है। यह कदम इसलिए उठाया गया है क्योंकि व्यापारियों पर सीधे खरीद केंद्रों पर खरीदे गए धान को अवैध रूप से बेचने की शिकायतें मिली हैं। किसानों का आरोप है कि व्यापारी, जिनमें पड़ोसी राज्यों के व्यापारी भी शामिल हैं, धान बेचने के लिए किसानों के दस्तावेज़ों का इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं। जिला कलेक्टर एस. कविता ने बताया कि सीमा चौकियों पर निरीक्षण चल रहा है और अधिकारी पंजीकरण और खरीद की मात्रा की जाँच कर रहे हैं।
