Laboratory tests have confirmed that paneer seized in Cuttack last month was adulterated with starch and a detergent-like substance. Around 71 quintals of paneer were seized, with samples sent to a food quality testing laboratory in Haryana. The report revealed the use of maida and detergent, which poses a serious health risk. Food safety authorities conducted raids following reports of unhygienic practices, seizing the suspected adulterated paneer worth Rs 17.75 lakh.
