Two new eco-tourism destinations, Peacock Valley and Nageswar Dam, have opened on the outskirts of the Chandaka-Dampara Wildlife Sanctuary in Bhubaneswar. These sites offer nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts an opportunity to experience the region's biodiversity and tranquil natural settings. Peacock Valley, known for frequent peafowl sightings, also supports various mammals, reptiles, and birds, acting as a crucial buffer and linkage habitat for the sanctuary. Nageswar Dam, located within the sanctuary, is promoted for its scenic forest landscapes.
