Federal prosecutors in Louisiana have charged seven individuals in connection with an alleged insurance fraud and arson scheme involving approximately 13 residential fires. The group is accused of renting homes, insuring them, and then intentionally causing fires before filing fraudulent claims for fabricated losses. The scheme, which allegedly occurred between 2019 and 2026 in the Monroe and West Monroe areas, also involved submitting false disaster relief claims.
