ITI Students Aid Flood Recovery Efforts In Odisha's Aska Town

Around 40 students from five government-run Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and UCP Government Engineering School are actively participating in restoration work in flood-hit Aska, Ganjam district. They are utilizing their technical skills to repair electrical appliances, water pumps, and plumbing systems damaged by recent floods. The students have already restored electrical equipment at the Aska sub-divisional hospital. This initiative connects technical education with social service, helping to normalize daily life for thousands of affected families who faced a shortage of skilled repair workers.

पांच सरकारी औद्योगिक प्रशिक्षण संस्थानों (आईटीआई) और यूसीपी गवर्नमेंट इंजीनियरिंग स्कूल के लगभग 40 छात्र, गंजाम जिले के बाढ़ प्रभावित अस्का में बहाली के काम में सक्रिय रूप से भाग ले रहे हैं। वे हाल की बाढ़ से क्षतिग्रस्त बिजली के उपकरणों, पानी के पंपों और प्लंबिंग सिस्टम की मरम्मत के लिए अपने तकनीकी कौशल का उपयोग कर रहे हैं। छात्रों ने पहले ही अस्का उप-विभागीय अस्पताल में बिजली के उपकरणों को ठीक कर दिया है। यह पहल तकनीकी शिक्षा को सामाजिक सेवा से जोड़ती है, जिससे हजारों प्रभावित परिवारों के दैनिक जीवन को सामान्य करने में मदद मिलती है, जिन्हें कुशल मरम्मत श्रमिकों की कमी का सामना करना पड़ा था।
