A 52-year-old retired Indian Army captain from Vellore, Tamil Nadu, has been arrested for allegedly sharing military information with a suspected Pakistani woman he met online. The woman posed as a Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) research assistant to elicit details about weapon purchases and stock. The former captain, who served for 28 years and taught at an NCC academy, reportedly used multiple phone connections to communicate and asked former colleagues for information. He has been booked under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Official Secrets Act.

तमिलनाडु के वेल्लोर से 52 वर्षीय एक रिटायर्ड भारतीय सेना कैप्टन को ऑनलाइन मिली एक संदिग्ध पाकिस्तानी महिला के साथ सैन्य जानकारी साझा करने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया गया है। यह महिला हथियार खरीद और स्टॉक के बारे में जानकारी निकालने के लिए खुद को डिफेंस रिसर्च एंड डेवलपमेंट ऑर्गनाइजेशन (DRDO) की रिसर्च असिस्टेंट बता रही थी। 28 साल तक सेवा देने वाले और एनसीसी अकादमी में पढ़ाने वाले पूर्व कैप्टन ने कथित तौर पर बात करने के लिए कई फोन कनेक्शन का इस्तेमाल किया और जानकारी के लिए पूर्व सहकर्मियों से भी पूछा। उन्हें भारतीय न्याय संहिता और आधिकारिक गोपनीयता अधिनियम की धाराओं के तहत बुक किया गया है।
