Kona Expressway Flyover Piers Construction To Speed Up During Durga Puja

Construction of the remaining piers for a busy stretch of the Kona Expressway Flyover near Nabanna will accelerate during Durga Puja. This six-lane flyover, designed to ease traffic congestion, is slated for completion by December 2027. The project has already achieved 40% progress, with foundations laid for 175 out of 221 planned piers. The project cost has been revised to Rs 1,300 crore due to an expanded scope, including a three-tier road system near Santragachhi Railway Station to improve pedestrian access and traffic flow.
