Avalanche on Himlung Himal, 12 Missing

An avalanche on Himlung Himal in Nepal's Manang district has left 12 Nepalese workers and guides missing. A 14-member rescue team has been deployed to the mountain's base camp to search for them. The avalanche struck a tent where climbers and support staff were sheltering. Bad weather and difficult mountain conditions are complicating the rescue efforts. The bodies of two victims are being flown to Kathmandu.
