Activists Flag Industrial Pollution in Buddha Dariya, Demand Comprehensive Action Plan

Activists from the Public Action Committee (PAC) have raised concerns that industrial chemical pollution in Buddha Dariya is receiving inadequate attention compared to dairy waste management. They argue that cleaning the drain requires a comprehensive action plan addressing all pollution sources, not just dairy waste. The PAC is demanding identification of illegal industrial discharge points, inspections for concealed outlets, and independent testing of wastewater for toxic substances. They also seek proper dairy waste treatment and action against illegal connections, alongside mapping of industrial units and pollution points.

पब्लिक एक्शन कमेटी (PAC) के कार्यकर्ताओं ने चिंता जताई है कि बुद्धा दरिया में औद्योगिक रासायनिक प्रदूषण पर डेयरी कचरा प्रबंधन की तुलना में कम ध्यान दिया जा रहा है। उनका तर्क है कि नाले की सफाई के लिए केवल डेयरी कचरे के बजाय सभी प्रदूषण स्रोतों को संबोधित करने वाली एक व्यापक कार्य योजना की आवश्यकता है। PAC अवैध औद्योगिक निर्वहन बिंदुओं की पहचान, छिपे हुए आउटलेट के लिए निरीक्षण और जहरीले पदार्थों के लिए अपशिष्ट जल के स्वतंत्र परीक्षण की मांग कर रहा है। वे उचित डेयरी कचरा उपचार और अवैध कनेक्शन के खिलाफ कार्रवाई के साथ-साथ औद्योगिक इकाइयों और प्रदूषण बिंदुओं की मैपिंग भी चाहते हैं।
