North Central Railway Digitises 4 Crore Records, Frees Up Office Space

North Central Railway (NCR) has successfully digitised over 4 crore records, significantly streamlining office operations and improving access to official documents. This initiative has freed up approximately 25,000 square feet of valuable office space and established a digital storage capacity exceeding 58 terabytes. The programme aims to foster a digital work culture, ensure systematic preservation of records, and reduce the burden of maintaining physical files. By disposing of obsolete paper records, NCR is also moving towards a more environmentally sustainable system of record management.

नॉर्थ सेंट्रल रेलवे (NCR) ने 4 करोड़ से ज़्यादा रिकॉर्ड को डिजिटाइज़ करके ऑफिस के काम को काफ़ी आसान बना दिया है और सरकारी दस्तावेज़ों तक पहुँच को बेहतर किया है। इस पहल से लगभग 25,000 वर्ग फुट की कीमती ऑफिस की जगह खाली हुई है और 58 टेराबाइट से ज़्यादा की डिजिटल स्टोरेज क्षमता स्थापित हुई है। इस कार्यक्रम का मकसद एक डिजिटल कार्य संस्कृति को बढ़ावा देना, रिकॉर्ड का व्यवस्थित संरक्षण सुनिश्चित करना और कागज़ी फाइलों को बनाए रखने का बोझ कम करना है। पुराने कागज़ी रिकॉर्ड को निपटाकर, NCR रिकॉर्ड प्रबंधन की अधिक पर्यावरण-अनुकूल प्रणाली की ओर भी बढ़ रहा है।
