Congress Questions Amit Shah On 'Infiltrator' Detection Post Electoral Roll Revision

The Hindu · india

The Congress has posed three direct questions to Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Party leader Jairam Ramesh asked how many 'ghuspaithiye' (infiltrators) were detected, deleted, and deported following the revision process. Ramesh alleged that the 'ghuspaithiya' argument is being used to divert attention from the removal of nearly 14 crore Indians' voting rights. He questioned if these removed voters are being labelled as infiltrators, implying a potential increase in infiltrators under the current government's watch.
