Former MLA Visits Mysuru Waste Plant Amid Stench Complaints From Residents

Former MLA M.K. Somashekar visited the Waste Management Plant in Vidyaranyapuram, Mysuru, following a week of complaints from residents about an unbearable stench. He sought details from officials, as the foul smell had not been an issue for the past three years. Somashekar suspects improper implementation of the bioculture method and urged officials to investigate the root cause. He instructed them to ensure scientific waste processing and prevent odours from spreading to residential areas. MCC Commissioner M.K. Savitha has also been urged to resolve the problem.

पूर्व विधायक एम. के. सोमशेखर ने विद्यारण्यपुरम, मैसूरु में कचरा प्रबंधन संयंत्र का दौरा किया। यह दौरा निवासियों द्वारा असहनीय बदबू की शिकायतों के एक हफ्ते बाद हुआ। उन्होंने अधिकारियों से जानकारी मांगी, क्योंकि पिछले तीन सालों से ऐसी कोई बदबू की समस्या नहीं थी। सोमशेखर को शक है कि बायो कल्चर विधि का ठीक से पालन नहीं हुआ है और उन्होंने अधिकारियों से मूल कारण की जांच करने को कहा है। उन्होंने अधिकारियों को वैज्ञानिक तरीके से कचरा प्रबंधन सुनिश्चित करने और बदबू को आवासीय इलाकों में फैलने से रोकने का निर्देश दिया। एम. सी. सी. कमिश्नर एम. के. सविता से भी इस समस्या को हल करने का आग्रह किया गया है।
