Puducherry's Election Department has initiated a special drive to register eligible voters missed during the recent Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. This initiative, directed by the Election Commission of India, aims to include young and first-time voters, as well as any eligible individuals not currently on the electoral rolls. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are conducting house-to-house verification of the Absent/Shifted/Dead list to re-verify the status of individuals. The process is expected to be completed by October 17, ensuring no eligible citizen is inadvertently excluded.
