A UK High Court judge has ruled that certain transactions by the late Al-Hasib Mian Muhammad Abdullah Al Mahmood constituted gifts made in contemplation of death. The claimant, Masudur Rahman, disputed ownership of assets with four defendants. The court determined that specific UK properties and bank accounts, excluding those in Bangladesh, were included in the gifts. While Rahman did not receive everything he claimed, the judge ordered the defendants to pay £259,725 in legal costs as Rahman was the overall successful party.
