Ladli Behna Beneficiary Count Drops Significantly

Madhya Pradesh's flagship Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana has seen over 6.25 lakh women removed from its beneficiary list since its launch in June 2023. Fresh registrations remain closed, causing the pool of recipients to shrink despite the monthly assistance increasing from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500. Women are removed due to age, death, or other eligibility criteria. Officials expect further decline by December 2026, with no timeframe given for reopening new applications.

मध्य प्रदेश की मुख्यमंत्री लाड़ली बहना योजना से जून 2023 में शुरू होने के बाद से 6.25 लाख से ज़्यादा महिलाओं के नाम हटा दिए गए हैं। नई रजिस्ट्रेशन बंद हैं, जिससे हर महीने 1,000 से 1,500 रुपये की मदद मिलने के बावजूद लाभार्थियों की संख्या घट रही है। उम्र, मृत्यु या अन्य पात्रता मानदंडों के कारण महिलाओं को हटाया जा रहा है। अधिकारियों को दिसंबर 2026 तक और कमी की उम्मीद है, और नए आवेदन कब खुलेंगे, इसकी कोई जानकारी नहीं है।
