Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan stated that the government is considering an extension for the 12th Pay Revision Commission. The commission, chaired by former Chief Secretary V.P. Joy, was appointed to recommend pay revisions for government employees. Its initial three-month term has concluded, prompting the need for more time to collect data and ensure smooth functioning. Satheesan also addressed delays in the commission's formation by the previous LDF government, alleging it was deliberate and that the LDF failed to implement pay commission reports during its tenure.

केरल के मुख्यमंत्री वी.डी. सतीसन ने कहा कि सरकार 12वें वेतन संशोधन आयोग का कार्यकाल बढ़ाने पर विचार कर रही है। पूर्व मुख्य सचिव वी.पी. जॉय की अध्यक्षता वाले इस आयोग को सरकारी कर्मचारियों के वेतन संशोधन की सिफारिश करने के लिए नियुक्त किया गया था। इसकी शुरुआती तीन महीने की अवधि समाप्त हो गई है, जिससे डेटा एकत्र करने और सुचारू कामकाज सुनिश्चित करने के लिए और समय की आवश्यकता है। सतीसन ने पिछली एलडीएफ सरकार द्वारा आयोग के गठन में देरी का भी उल्लेख किया, जिसका आरोप है कि यह जानबूझकर किया गया था और एलडीएफ ने अपने कार्यकाल के दौरान वेतन आयोग की रिपोर्टों को लागू करने में विफल रही।
