Supreme Court Refuses to Intervene in TMC's Frozen Bank Accounts Case

The Supreme Court has refused to grant immediate relief to the Trinamool Congress regarding the freezing of four of its bank accounts by the West Bengal Police. The apex court declined to interfere with the police action, stating it would not delve into the merits of the case at this stage. Senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi argued that the freezing of accounts, needed for the party's daily operations requiring at least ₹12.15 crore monthly, was impacting its political activities.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने पश्चिम बंगाल पुलिस द्वारा तृणमूल कांग्रेस के चार बैंक खातों को फ्रीज करने के संबंध में तत्काल राहत देने से इनकार कर दिया है। शीर्ष अदालत ने पुलिस की कार्रवाई में हस्तक्षेप करने से मना कर दिया और कहा कि वह इस स्तर पर मामले के गुणों में नहीं जाएगी। वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता अभिषेक मनु सिंघवी ने तर्क दिया कि पार्टी के दैनिक संचालन के लिए आवश्यक खातों को फ्रीज करने से, जिसके लिए हर महीने कम से कम ₹12.15 करोड़ की आवश्यकता होती है, उसकी राजनीतिक गतिविधियों पर असर पड़ रहा है।
