EPFO Launches WhatsApp Services for PF Balance Checks and Auto-Settles Small Inoperative Accounts

Union minister Mansukh Mandaviya launched WhatsApp-based services for Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) subscribers, allowing them to check PF balance, access passbook details, and view their latest five transactions. The new facility also offers guidance for the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana. Additionally, an automatic settlement facility for eligible inoperative EPF accounts with balances up to Rs 1,000 was launched. This initiative aims to make routine EPFO services more accessible and reduce the need for subscribers to visit offices, with around one lakh accounts expected to benefit.

केंद्रीय मंत्री मनसुख मांडविया ने एम्प्लॉइज प्रोविडेंट फंड ऑर्गनाइजेशन (EPFO) सब्सक्राइबर्स के लिए व्हाट्सएप-आधारित सेवाओं की शुरुआत की है। इससे वे पीएफ बैलेंस चेक कर सकेंगे, पासबुक की जानकारी ले सकेंगे और अपने आखिरी पांच ट्रांजेक्शन देख सकेंगे। नई सुविधा प्रधानमंत्री विकसित भारत रोजगार योजना के लिए मार्गदर्शन भी प्रदान करती है। इसके अलावा, 1,000 रुपये तक की राशि वाले पात्र इनऑपरेटिव ईपीएफ खातों के लिए एक स्वचालित निपटान सुविधा शुरू की गई है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य नियमित ईपीएफओ सेवाओं को अधिक सुलभ बनाना और सब्सक्राइबर्स को ऑफिस जाने की आवश्यकता को कम करना है, जिससे लगभग एक लाख खातों को लाभ मिलने की उम्मीद है।
