Women Demand Safety and Rights in Public Spaces

Members of the group “She Speaks” protested at Lucknow University on Monday, highlighting the challenges women face in public places and demanding greater accountability from authorities. A group member stated that safety and freedom of movement are basic rights, not privileges, and authorities must ensure women can move with dignity and without fear. The protest called for women's safety to encompass dignity, equality, and freedom in daily life, urging concrete steps to make public spaces safer and more accessible for women.

सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर महिलाओं ने मांगी सुरक्षा और अधिकार

सोमवार को लखनऊ यूनिवर्सिटी में "शी स्पीक्स" समूह की सदस्यों ने विरोध प्रदर्शन किया। उन्होंने सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर महिलाओं के सामने आने वाली चुनौतियों को उजागर किया और अधिकारियों से ज़्यादा जवाबदेही की मांग की। समूह की एक सदस्य ने कहा कि सुरक्षा और घूमने की आज़ादी बुनियादी अधिकार हैं, विशेषाधिकार नहीं। उन्होंने कहा कि अधिकारियों को यह सुनिश्चित करना चाहिए कि महिलाएं गरिमा और बिना डर के घूम सकें। इस विरोध प्रदर्शन में महिलाओं की सुरक्षा में गरिमा, समानता और रोज़मर्रा की आज़ादी को शामिल करने की बात कही गई। साथ ही सार्वजनिक स्थानों को महिलाओं के लिए सुरक्षित और सुलभ बनाने के लिए ठोस कदम उठाने का आग्रह किया गया।
