Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan expressed admiration for Naman Dhir's surprise inclusion in the ODI squad for the West Indies series. Pathan highlighted Dhir's talent, noting his ability to bat anywhere in the order and bowl off-spin, a skill set he feels has been missing from India's ODI setup. Dhir impressed in the Sher-e-Punjab T20 league with 655 runs in 10 innings. He also performed well for Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
