FIITJEE Faces ED Action Over Rs 85.79 Crore Fee Misappropriation

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a prosecution complaint against FIITJEE Limited and its directors for alleged misappropriation of student fees amounting to Rs 85.79 crore. The agency's investigation revealed that FIITJEE abruptly shut down 32 coaching centres, affecting 14,411 students who had paid fees in advance. The ED has quantified the retained fees as proceeds of crime and is seeking confiscation of properties worth Rs 71.88 crore. This action stems from FIRs registered by Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh Police for cheating and criminal breach of trust.

प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ED) ने FIITJEE लिमिटेड और उसके निदेशकों के खिलाफ ₹85.79 करोड़ की छात्र फीस के कथित गबन के संबंध में अभियोजन शिकायत दर्ज की है। एजेंसी की जांच में पता चला कि FIITJEE ने अचानक 32 कोचिंग सेंटर बंद कर दिए, जिससे 14,411 छात्र प्रभावित हुए जिन्होंने अग्रिम भुगतान किया था। ED ने रोकी गई फीस को अपराध की आय के रूप में मापा है और ₹71.88 करोड़ की संपत्ति की जब्ती की मांग कर रही है। यह कार्रवाई उत्तर प्रदेश और मध्य प्रदेश पुलिस द्वारा धोखाधड़ी और आपराधिक विश्वासघात के लिए दर्ज की गई FIRs से उपजी है।
