Scientists have identified a new species of wild cat, named 'Tigrino' (Leopardus tigrinus), found in the forests of Bolivia. This discovery, the first new wild cat species in over a century, was made possible through DNA analysis, revealing it as distinct from other regional wild cats. The small cat, similar in size to a domestic feline, had previously been overlooked due to its markings.
