Bihar is set to enhance its rail infrastructure with a new four-lane rail bridge over the Son River at Koilwar in Bhojpur district. The Railway Board has approved the proposal for this significant project, estimated to cost between ₹3,500 to ₹4,000 crore. This new bridge will run parallel to the existing one, increasing train capacity on the busy Howrah-Patna-DDU route. This development is part of a larger ₹17,000 crore plan to upgrade the 400 km DDU to Jhajha rail corridor, aiming to reduce operational pressure and improve passenger convenience.

बिहार अपने रेल इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर को कोइलवर, भोजपुर जिले में सोन नदी पर एक नए फोर-लेन रेल पुल के साथ बेहतर बनाने के लिए तैयार है। रेलवे बोर्ड ने इस महत्वपूर्ण प्रोजेक्ट के प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी दे दी है, जिसकी अनुमानित लागत ₹3,500 से ₹4,000 करोड़ के बीच है। यह नया पुल मौजूदा पुल के समानांतर चलेगा, जिससे व्यस्त हावड़ा-पटना-डी.डी.यू. मार्ग पर ट्रेनों की क्षमता बढ़ेगी। यह विकास डी.डी.यू. से झाझा तक 400 किमी रेल कॉरिडोर को अपग्रेड करने की ₹17,000 करोड़ की बड़ी योजना का हिस्सा है, जिसका लक्ष्य परिचालन दबाव को कम करना और यात्रियों की सुविधा में सुधार करना है।
