AI company Anthropic has revealed significant financial figures ahead of its IPO, reporting a $42 billion net loss in 2025, largely due to a $34 billion accounting charge. Operating losses also exceeded $8 billion, despite a twelvefold revenue increase to nearly $4.6 billion. The company spent $7.33 billion on compute and infrastructure last year, highlighting the immense costs of scaling AI. Anthropic is targeting a valuation exceeding $2 trillion, more than double its previous private valuation.
