Bhubaneswar Mayor Fumes Over Name Omission From Inaugural Plaque

Times of India · politics

Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das expressed public displeasure after her name was omitted from the inaugural plaque of the newly developed Bajrangi playground during a ceremony attended by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The plaque included names of the CM, minister, local MLA, and MP, but not the mayor. Das alleged the omission was deliberate and politically motivated by the BJP to prevent credit for the BJD-initiated project. However, BJP MLA Babu Singh dismissed the claim, suggesting it was an oversight and assured her name would be added.
