Police in Sonipat, Haryana, have stated that their investigation into an alleged highway incident involving film producer Amit Jani does not substantiate his claims of a firing and attempted attack. Jani had alleged that unidentified men chased his SUV and opened fire on October 18, 2026. However, police identified the occupants of another vehicle, who claimed a cigarette from Jani's SUV landed on their car, prompting them to signal it to stop. The police described Jani's complaint as unsubstantiated, noting no FIR has been registered.
