Haryana DGP Admits Lapses in Yuvraj Singh Manchanada

Haryana DGP Ajay Singhal has acknowledged police shortcomings in handling and cremating the body of Delhi real estate professional Yuvraj Singh Manchanada. His body was found in Gurugram and cremated as an unidentified corpse due to a lack of identification. Manchanada was allegedly murdered by his former associate and her partner. The DGP stated that police followed SOPs for unidentified bodies, which cannot be held for more than three days. However, he admitted to some lapses, which the court has also noted.

हरियाणा के डीजीपी अजय सिंघल ने दिल्ली के रियल एस्टेट प्रोफेशनल युवराज सिंह मनचंदा के शव को संभालने और अंतिम संस्कार करने में पुलिस की कमियों को स्वीकार किया है। मनचंदा का शव गुरुग्राम में मिला था और पहचान न होने के कारण उसे एक अज्ञात शव के रूप में अंतिम संस्कार कर दिया गया था। मनचंदा की कथित तौर पर उसके पूर्व सहयोगी और उसके साथी ने हत्या कर दी थी। डीजीपी ने कहा कि पुलिस ने अज्ञात शवों के लिए एसओपी का पालन किया, जिन्हें तीन दिनों से अधिक समय तक नहीं रखा जा सकता। हालांकि, उन्होंने कुछ खामियों को स्वीकार किया, जिन्हें अदालत ने भी नोट किया है।
