Durga Puja Arches Remain on Ranchi Roads After Deadline

Several Durga Puja committees in Ranchi have failed to remove bamboo welcome arches from city roads, despite a two-day deadline set by the district administration and Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC). These structures have narrowed carriageways, causing traffic congestion and posing dangers to motorists due to debris. The RMC had ordered the removal of all unauthorized arches, as they were erected without permission and violated local advertising regulations. The corporation plans to dismantle remaining arches and take action against non-compliant committees.

रांची की कई दुर्गा पूजा समितियों ने जिला प्रशासन और रांची नगर निगम (RMC) द्वारा तय की गई दो-दिवसीय समय सीमा के बावजूद शहर की सड़कों से बांस के स्वागत मेहराब हटाने में विफल रही हैं। इन ढांचों ने सड़कों को संकरा कर दिया है, जिससे यातायात जाम हो गया है और मलबे के कारण वाहन चालकों के लिए खतरा पैदा हो गया है। RMC ने सभी अनधिकृत मेहराबों को हटाने का आदेश दिया था, क्योंकि वे बिना अनुमति के लगाए गए थे और स्थानीय विज्ञापन नियमों का उल्लंघन करते थे। निगम शेष मेहराबों को हटाने और गैर-अनुपालन समितियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई करने की योजना बना रहा है।
