Karnataka Govt Curbs RSS Route March In Poll-Bound Districts
Times of India · politics
The Karnataka government has imposed restrictions on RSS route march, held on Vijayadashami, in parts of the state. These curbs are due to the model code of conduct being in effect for the ongoing legislative council elections. While route marches proceeded unhindered in Bengaluru, restrictions were placed in Tumakuru district. Deputy chief minister G Parameshwara stated that Election Commission rules do not permit such processions during the code of conduct period. The BJP criticized the state government, claiming the RSS faced unprecedented harassment for permissions.
