Andhra Pradesh's major reservoirs are at 49.5% capacity, providing a significant flood cushion of 558.8 TMC. While the Godavari and Krishna basins manage inflows, the Pennar basin, particularly Somasila and Kandaleru reservoirs, shows critically low levels at 20% and 25.4% capacity respectively. This disparity raises concerns for irrigation supply in Nellore and Rayalaseema during the dry season if not replenished.
