Bihar Women to Become 'Sudha Sakhis' for Rural Veterinary Support

Bihar is launching an initiative to empower rural women as 'Sudha Sakhis', providing basic animal healthcare and dairy farming support. The Bihar State Milk Co-operative Federation Ltd (Comfed) aims to make these women the primary link between livestock owners and veterinary services. Selected women undergo training in first aid, nutrition, and livestock management. This program, part of the state's 'Saat Nischay-3' initiative, seeks to improve rural dairy services and increase women's participation in the sector, with plans to reach all 8,053 panchayats by next year.

बिहार ग्रामीण महिलाओं को 'सुधा सखियां' के रूप में सशक्त बनाने के लिए एक पहल शुरू कर रहा है, जो बुनियादी पशु स्वास्थ्य सेवा और डेयरी फार्मिंग सहायता प्रदान करेंगी। बिहार स्टेट मिल्क को-ऑपरेटिव फेडरेशन लिमिटेड (कॉम्फेड) का लक्ष्य इन महिलाओं को पशुपालकों और पशु चिकित्सा सेवाओं के बीच प्राथमिक कड़ी बनाना है। चुनी गई महिलाओं को फर्स्ट एड, पोषण और पशु प्रबंधन में प्रशिक्षण दिया जाएगा। राज्य की 'सात निश्चय-3' पहल का हिस्सा यह कार्यक्रम ग्रामीण डेयरी सेवाओं में सुधार और इस क्षेत्र में महिलाओं की भागीदारी बढ़ाने का प्रयास करता है, जिसमें अगले साल तक सभी 8,053 पंचायतों तक पहुंचने की योजना है।
