FIFA is planning to significantly increase its football development funding for the 2027-30 cycle, potentially doubling it to over $6 billion. Under the proposal, each member association, including the All India Football Federation (AIFF), could receive $25 million, a substantial rise from the previously planned $10 million. This increased funding will be financed by distributing over $3.5 billion from FIFA's financial reserves. The proposal is scheduled for discussion by the FIFA Council and requires final approval in March 2027. If approved, this could significantly boost football development initiatives in India.
