US Army Modernization Window Closing, Warns Top General

The window for modernizing the US Army is rapidly closing, warned General Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He urged the military-industrial complex to accelerate production of quality weapons at lower costs. Caine highlighted that future conflicts will not assume uncontested access or secure rear areas. He noted that US adversaries are increasingly cooperating, sharing technology and intelligence, and adapting quickly to challenge American advantages.
