Residents and traders in Bengaluru's Jayanagar are protesting a 10-day road closure on New Diagonal Road for white-topping work that has not yet begun. Traffic has been disrupted for over three months due to utility shifting and stormwater drain construction. Citizens questioned the necessity of the closure when no work is visible. Traffic police stated permission was granted for three months, but the project executive engineer assured the road would reopen until work starts Monday.
