Tata Trusts Tell Charity Commissioner Mistry's Tenure Ended

Two Tata trusts, Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and Bai Hirabai Jamestji Tata Navsari Charitable Institution, informed the charity commissioner's office that Mehli Mistry's tenure as a trustee concluded last year. Therefore, they argued, he lacks the standing to challenge the trusts' administration and governance. Bai Hirabai disputed Mistry's interpretation of trust deed clauses regarding trustee eligibility by religion and residence, stating these conflict with the original will. The trusts also noted functioning challenges due to a recent order barring meetings.
