Kerala HC Orders FIR Against Former CM Pinarayi Vijayan in CMRL Bribery Case

The Kerala High Court has ordered the registration of a FIR under the anti-graft law against former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and others. This decision comes based on a report from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) concerning the alleged CMRL bribery case. The court allowed a plea arguing for an FIR instead of a preliminary inquiry. The ED had previously claimed its report contained sufficient evidence to register a case against Vijayan, his daughter Veena T, and son-in-law P A Mohamed Riyas.

केरल हाई कोर्ट ने पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री पिनराई विजयन और अन्य के खिलाफ भ्रष्टाचार निरोधक कानून के तहत FIR दर्ज करने का आदेश दिया है। यह फैसला कथित CMRL रिश्वत मामले के संबंध में Enforcement Directorate (ED) की एक रिपोर्ट के आधार पर आया है। कोर्ट ने प्रारंभिक जांच के बजाय FIR दर्ज करने की दलील वाली याचिका को स्वीकार कर लिया। ED ने पहले दावा किया था कि उसकी रिपोर्ट में विजयन, उनकी बेटी वीणा टी, और दामाद पी ए मोहम्मद रियास के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज करने के लिए पर्याप्त सबूत हैं।
