Dengue cases in Tamil Nadu have decreased for the third consecutive year, according to the State Health and Family Welfare Department. The state recorded 17,049 cases up to September 19, 2026, a significant drop from previous years. Reported deaths also saw a decline, with nine fatalities up to September 19, 2026, compared to 12 in 2025.
