Indian stock markets experienced a significant rally, with the Sensex gaining over 2,400 points in two consecutive sessions leading up to Diwali. This surge was driven by factors including softer crude oil prices, strong foreign fund buying, and a strengthening rupee. The Sensex closed at 76,918 points on Tuesday, marking its best two-day gaining streak since April. Foreign portfolio investors were net buyers, injecting nearly Rs 10,000 crore into the market. This rally added approximately Rs 4.5 lakh crore to investor wealth.
