Washington Sundar has been withdrawn from India's T20I squad for the upcoming five-match series against West Indies. Naman Dhir, who recently made his ODI debut, has been announced as his replacement. The BCCI stated the decision was made to allow Sundar to play red-ball cricket for his state team, Tamil Nadu, in the Ranji Trophy season starting October 11. This will also help him prepare for the upcoming away Test series against New Zealand. Sundar is currently with the Indian team at the Asian Games.
