Telangana has screened approximately 1.49 crore individuals for non-communicable diseases (NCDs), identifying around 18 lakh people with hypertension and over nine lakh with diabetes. Health Secretary Christina Z. Chongthu shared these figures, emphasizing the critical role of preventive healthcare and lifestyle modifications. The findings were highlighted at the International Conference on Lifestyle Medicine in Hyderabad, which focused on addressing stress and burnout through lifestyle interventions. Experts stressed the importance of nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and stress management for holistic well-being.
