A couple from Maharashtra has been arrested in Adilabad for allegedly extorting ₹81,600 from a man by exploiting his superstitious beliefs. The accused, Salim Syed and his wife Syed Shama, collected money for puja materials and rituals, promising to ward off trouble. They later demanded more money, claiming black magic posed a threat to a family member. The victim, realizing he was being duped, reported the matter to the police, leading to their arrest.

महाराष्ट्र के एक जोड़े को आदिलाबाद में गिरफ्तार किया गया है। उन पर एक आदमी से ₹81,600 की ठगी का आरोप है। कहा जा रहा है कि उन्होंने अंधविश्वास का फायदा उठाकर यह पैसा ऐंठा। पति-पत्नी, सलीम सैयद और शमा सैयद, पूजा सामग्री और अनुष्ठान के नाम पर पैसे लेते थे। बाद में उन्होंने और पैसे मांगे, यह कहकर कि काला जादू परिवार के सदस्य के लिए खतरा है। जब पीड़ित को ठगी का एहसास हुआ, तो उसने पुलिस को बताया और गिरफ्तारी हुई।
