Delhi PWD to Conduct Traffic Simulation Study on 2,205km Roads

PWD will conduct a comprehensive traffic simulation study and road safety audit across 2,205.68km of its roads to address worsening congestion. The ₹11.17-crore project will use digital models to analyze traffic movement and test solutions before implementation. This initiative aims to identify effective interventions for bottlenecks caused by rising vehicle numbers and inadequate infrastructure. The study, expected to take three months, will cover 1,796 roads across South, North, and East Delhi zones, evaluating potential solutions like signal timing changes and intersection redesign.

PWD अपनी 2,205.68 किमी सड़कों पर एक विस्तृत ट्रैफिक सिमुलेशन स्टडी और रोड सेफ्टी ऑडिट करेगा ताकि बढ़ती भीड़भाड़ की समस्या को हल किया जा सके। ₹11.17 करोड़ की इस परियोजना में लागू करने से पहले ट्रैफिक की आवाजाही का विश्लेषण करने और समाधानों का परीक्षण करने के लिए डिजिटल मॉडल का उपयोग किया जाएगा। इस पहल का उद्देश्य बढ़ते वाहनों की संख्या और अपर्याप्त बुनियादी ढांचे के कारण होने वाली बाधाओं के लिए प्रभावी हस्तक्षेपों की पहचान करना है। यह अध्ययन, जिसमें तीन महीने लगने की उम्मीद है, दक्षिण, उत्तर और पूर्वी दिल्ली क्षेत्रों में 1,796 सड़कों को कवर करेगा, जिसमें सिग्नल टाइमिंग में बदलाव और चौराहों के रीडिजाइन जैसे संभावित समाधानों का मूल्यांकन किया जाएगा।
