Bear Attacks Three Elders in Surguja Village

A wild bear attacked three elderly residents in Samaniya village, Surguja district, on Monday morning, leaving one woman critically injured. The victims were identified as Phuleshwari Majhwar (65), Siyaram Kujur (70), and Nehru Majhwar (70). Villagers managed to drive the animal back into the forest after it attacked the trio while they were basking in the sun. The injured woman sustained serious claw and bite wounds and was referred to Ambikapur for further treatment. Forest officials have advised residents to remain alert and avoid the forest fringe.

समानिया गाँव, सरगुजा जिले में सोमवार सुबह एक जंगली भालू ने तीन बुज़ुर्गों पर हमला कर दिया, जिसमें एक महिला गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गई। घायलों की पहचान फुलेश्वर माझी (65), सियाराम कुजूर (70) और नेहरू माझी (70) के रूप में हुई। जब भालू ने तीनों पर हमला किया, तब वे धूप सेंक रहे थे। गाँव वालों ने मिलकर भालू को वापस जंगल में खदेड़ दिया। घायल महिला को पंजे और दाँतों के गंभीर घाव आए हैं और उसे आगे के इलाज के लिए अंबिकापुर भेज दिया गया है। वन विभाग के अधिकारियों ने निवासियों को सतर्क रहने और जंगल के किनारे जाने से बचने की सलाह दी है।
